US Army 17th Cavalry Regiment, 3d Squadron “Supply Drop” from OSD Lands of Target in Afghanistan
AUSTIN, TEXAS & HUNTER ARMY AIRFIELD, GEORGIA, November 19, 2017 /For immediate release/ — OSD “Supply Drop” lands on target for 3-17 Cavalry Unit currently deployed to Afghanistan. The United States Army unit, based out of Hunter Army Airfield in Savannah, Georgia is deployed into 2018.
Captain Stefan C. told OSD in their initial request, “I can confirm now that one location has a 40-inch TV and the other has nothing, but we will figure something out. The second location hasn’t been occupied by military in years so we will be building it back up. We at least have generators and internet, which will be nice.
These 3-17 troopers received much needed games, coffee, jerky and other goodies to pass the time in country as well as to build camaraderie in such austere conditions.
Knowing OSD’s operational Headquarters is located in Fayetteville, North Carolina, Stefan added, “ALL THE WAY! Thanks to the guys at Bragg from a former 82nd Trooper myself!”
