Thousands of Sailors Deployed Aboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt Benefit from OSD Morale Enhancement

SEATTLE, WASHINGTON & AUSTIN, TEXAS (April 16, 2018) /For immediate release/ — The 5,000 Sailors aboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt are deployed in support operations for the 5th/7th fleet around the Pacific Ocean through late Spring.

AE1 Jonathan C. wrote, “ I am the Event Coordinator for my command. We provide electronic attack for 5th/7th fleet operations.”

“The sailors that would benefit from the Supply Drops are the hard chargers working on the flight deck, hangar bay, mess decks, and in the admin office that keep our squadron running at 110%. They are responsible for keeping our aircrew safe by conducting proper maintenance on the EA-18G aircraft.”

“I appreciate any opportunity to help build morale within my command because it will contribute to the overall effectiveness of our operations. Thank you for your consideration.”

These Sailors are now enjoying games, coffee and other supplies from generous donors including Starbucks, Microsoft, Disgruntled Decks, FanDuel, GAEMS and other key OSD partners.

AE1 Jonathan C. said, “Thank you for your support!  The Supply Drop has been received and has been enjoyed by many of our sailors!”

“On top of that, many of my sailors and myself are interested in donating to the cause too.  Your program is awesome and really effective for deployed sailors. Thanks again! Thank you!

“We really appreciate all the effort your program does for deployed service members.”

OSD’s “Supply Drop” program has impacted hundreds of thousands of active military personnel in scores of locations around the globe. These Sailors will return home as members of OSD’s Northwest Region, leading and participating in social, professional and service events in and around Seattle, Washington.
