Texas Army National Guard Unit Receiving OSD “Supply Drop” for Deployment in Horn of Africa
BROWNSVILLE, TEXAS & AUSTIN, TEXAS December 22, 2017 /For immediate release/ — Texas Army National Guard troops deployed in the Horn of Africa have “Supply Drop” incoming from OSD to increase troop morale.
Cpl Jose M., said, “We are a Texas Army National guard unit assigned in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in the Horn of Africa. We are currently tasked as force protection of various asset our nation has in this area along with advise and train our partnering forces in the area.
“Our current op tempo is running pretty high and we only have a gym and our wits and imagination to keep us busy.”
OSD Global Director of Community Operations, Scott Morrison said, “We’re always honor to help our fellow Texans and have some support headed down range for these troops. We know the coffee from Starbucks and the numerous games will serve as a great pick-me-up from home.”
