Soldiers of the 4-31 Infantry Deployed from Fort Drum Recieve OSD Supply Drop

Soldiers of the 4-31 Infantry are deployed from Fort Drum in New York to Afghanistan. They are infantry platoon part of the Theater Reaction Force mission. SPC Oscar H. explained, “That means we react to events all over Afghanistan.”

These soldiers put in long hours and the work is not easy. They were also missing their friends, family, and the comforts of home. They reached out to OSD hoping to secure a Supply Drop and a way to improve morale.

SPC Oscar H. continued, “We are trying to boost our platoon morale. A game system would help a lot.”

One of the pillars of OSD is social connection and Supply Drops are one of the ways we ensure that connection isn’t lost for our men and women deployed.

These troops are now enjoying games, coffee, and other supplies from generous donors including Starbucks, Rip It Energy, Disgruntled Decks, FanDuel, GAEMS, and other key OSD partners.

OSD’s “Supply Drop” program has impacted hundreds of thousands of active military personnel in scores of locations around the globe. These Soldiers will return home in the Summer as members of OSD’s Northeast Region, leading and participating in social, professional and service events within New York.
