Soldiers in Guantanamo Bay Grateful for Games and Coffee via Expedited OSD ‘Supply Drop’

GUANTANAMO BAY, CUBA & AUSTIN, TEXAS (April 14, 2018) /For immediate release/ — Troops deployed for Gitmo detention operations in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba are in need of some respite. While the deployment is notably different that those to the Middle East, given the current political climate, time in Cuba requires a high level of mental fortitude.

In a simple yet direct request SGM Jeff C. requested support for his unit, “[B]ecause my soldiers are awesome.”


Soon after, these troops are now enjoying games, coffee and other supplies from generous donors including Starbucks, Microsoft, Disgruntled Decks, FanDuel, GAEMS and other key OSD partners.

SGM Jeff C. checked in with with OSD writing, “We received the gaming system, tea, and Starbucks coffee.  Thanks again so much, our guys appreciate everything you guys sent!”
