Soldiers Deployed to Remote Outpost Get Morale Boost from ‘Supply Drop’
ANCHORAGE, ALASKA & AUSTIN, TEXAS (March 14, 2018) /For immediate release/ — Deployed to support a remote outpost in Afghanistan, the 501st Infantry Regiment from Anchorage, Alaska were missing many of the comforts of home.
SSG Corey D. said, “We operate in a very remote section of the country with a large disconnect from normal amenities.”
An OSD ‘Supply Drop’ was the perfect solution. By delivering video games, coffee, and other entertainment items, these soldiers now have a way to relax and recharge even in the far reaches of the country.
OSD’s “Supply Drop” program has impacted hundreds of thousands of active military personnel in scores of locations around the globe. These Soldiers will return home in the early Fall as members of OSD’s Northwest Region, leading and participating in social, professional and service events within Alaska.
