Soldiers of the 299th Calvary Regiment Get Morale Boost from OSD Supply Drop

The 299th Calvary Regiment is deployed from Hawaii to Egypt as a part of the Multinational Force and Observers (MFO). SGT Christopher B. explained, “We are deployed on a peacekeeping mission to support the Egyptians.”

Stationed in a location with no USO to MRW and few amenities, these soldiers had little to do in their downtime. Too much downtime can lead to missing home and morale eventually takes a hit. Hoping to combat the morale dip by spending some quality time together, they reached out to OSD for support. An OSD Supply Drop provided them some new entertainment options and a way to have fun in their downtime.

These troops are now enjoying games, coffee, and other supplies from generous donors including Starbucks, Rip It Energy, Disgruntled Decks, FanDuel, GAEMS, and other key OSD partners.

OSD’s “Supply Drop” program has impacted hundreds of thousands of active military personnel in scores of locations around the globe. These Soldiers will return home in the Fall as members of OSD’s Northwest Region, leading and participating in social, professional and service events within Hawaii.
