Soldiers from the 1st Special Forces Group (A) in Need of a Morale Boost Get OSD Supply Drop
TACOMA, WASHINGTON & AUSTIN, TEXAS (June 28, 2018) /For immediate release/ — The 1st Special Forces Group (A) is deployed from Joint Base Lewis McChord to Afghanistan. These soldiers put in long hours in order to achieve their mission. The long hours combined with missing home had left morale pretty low. Additionally, they just didn’t have much to do to fill their downtime.
Specialist Anthony Thomas explained, “My unit continuously strives to meet the mission. They could use something to take their minds off the deployment and help them enjoy a break every once in a while.”
OSD was happy to provide these hardworking soldiers with a Supply Drop.
OSD’s “Supply Drop” program has impacted hundreds of thousands of active military personnel in scores of locations around the globe. These Soldiers will return home in the Winter as members of OSD’s Northwest Region, leading and participating in social, professional and service events within Tacoma.
