Soldiers of the 101st Airborne Division Get Morale Boost from OSD Supply Drop
FORT CAMPBELL, KENTUCKY & AUSTIN, TEXAS (August 23, 2018) /For immediate release/ —Soldiers of the 101st Airborne Division from Fort Campbell are deployed to Afghanistan. Deployed as a part of Operation Freedom Sentinel, they are located in a remote FOB with no access to an MWR or USO.
1st Lieutenant Chris K. explained, “We are at a FOB with no MWR, no USO, and not even a chapel. Our soldiers do not have much in the way of entertainment. We are working on setting up a morale tent soon. However, we are staying 12 soldiers to a tent currently. This support you give us will change the morale of so many of our soldiers.”
These hardworking soldiers definitely deserved a Supply Drop and OSD was happy to deliver!
