Soilders from South Dakota Get Much Needed Boost from OSD ‘Supply Drop’

RAPID CITY, SOUTH DAKOTA & AUSTIN, TEXAS (March 14, 2018) /For immediate release/ —  With little to do but play cards, soldiers in the 189th Aviation Regiment were in need of something to help pass the time and build morale amongst the troops. Deployed from Rapid City, South Dakota to Iraq, this medevac unit provides multiple coalition forces with medical support. Days can be long and having little to do outside of work is hard on everyone.

Specialist Nicholas P said, “Games are hard to come by here. It would be greatly appreciated to get something new to help pass time.”

Luckily, OSD’s Supply Drop could help out.

These troops are now enjoying games, coffee and other supplies from generous donors including Starbucks, Microsoft, Disgruntled Decks, FanDuel, GAEMS and other key OSD partners.

OSD’s “Supply Drop” program has impacted hundreds of thousands of active military personnel in scores of locations around the globe. These Soldiers will return home in the early Fall as members of OSD’s Midwest Region, leading and participating in social, professional and service events within South Dakota.
