Sailors from the USS Theodore Roosevelt Receive OSD Supply Drop
SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA & AUSTIN, TEXAS (November 13, 2018) /For immediate release/ — The USS Theodore Roosevelt recently returned home after a deployment supporting operations in the Pacific. MGN Lindsay L. was among the sailors. She was enlisted for just a month before embarking on her first deployment as a .50 cal gunner within the security team.
Committed to the mission, her unit of 24 sailors worked hard the last year aboard the USS Roosevelt. Back stateside, she was looking for a way to thank her fellow sailors for their hard work during deployment and further build comradery.
An OSD ‘Supply Drop’ was the answer.
OSD’s “Supply Drop” program has impacted hundreds of thousands of active military personnel in scores of locations around the globe. These Sailors will return home in the Winter as members of OSD’s Southwest Region, leading and participating in social, professional and service events within San Diego.
