Sailors Deployed from Camp Lejeune Receive an OSD Supply Drop and Morale Boost
The Sailors of GLT Roto 8 are deployed from Camp Lejeune, North Carolina to Afghanistan. They are responsible for training foreign armies to take charge of the war in Afghanistan. It is hard work with long hours and little downtime. To make matters harder, some of the Sailors weren’t getting regular mail or care packages from home.
Hospital Corpsman Second Class Robert S. knew how much mail can lift spirits and boost morale, so he reached out to OSD hoping to secure a Supply Drop for his fellow Sailors.
He explained, “We are on a combat deployment to Afghanistan. Several members of the team do not have family sending packages, I’d like to do something for them.”
