Sailors Deployed from Camp LeJeune to Afghanistan Enjoying OSD Supply Drop

JACKSONVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA & AUSTIN, TEXAS (June 28, 2018) /For immediate release/ —   Sailors from GDP ROTO 7 are deployed from Camp LeJeune to Afghanistan. They are serving as foreign advisors in the country. These sailors work long hours and are dedicated to their mission. Unfortunately, in their limited downtime, they have little to do to relax and help take their mind off of missing home.

HM1 Mark M. explained, “We could use something to help reset the monotony of deployment. Having something new and fun to do would make a big difference in terms of morale.”

OSD Supply Drops are all about delivering fun where this is none.

These troops are now enjoying games, coffee, and other supplies from generous donors including Starbucks, Rip It Energy, Disgruntled Decks, FanDuel, GAEMS, and other key OSD partners.

OSD’s “Supply Drop” program has impacted hundreds of thousands of active military personnel in scores of locations around the globe. These Sailors will return home in the Winter as members of OSD’s Southeast Region, leading and participating in social, professional and service events within Jacksonville.
