Regimental Engineer Squadron from Fort Hood Receives OSD Supply Drop
KILLEEN, TEXAS & AUSTIN, TEXAS (June 20, 2018) /For immediate release/ — The Regimental Engineer Squadron, 3d U.S. Cavalry Regiment is deployed from Fort Hood to Iraq. They are an Engineer Company tasked with conducting route clearance missions and patrols in the regions.
These soldiers put in a lot of hours and the strain of the deployment was starting to take a toll. With little to do in their downtime, morale was pretty low. Headquarters Platoon Sergeant Dyan D. knew his soldiers needed a morale boost. He explained, “My soldiers work hard and are motivated. Having something to do in their free time would boost morale greatly.”
OSD was happy to come through with a Supply Drop.
OSD’s “Supply Drop” program has impacted hundreds of thousands of active military personnel in scores of locations around the globe. These Soldiers will return home in the Winter as members of OSD’s Texas Region, leading and participating in social, professional and service events within Fort Hood.
