OSD “Thank You Deployment” Takes Veterans to 18th annual Samaritan Center Charity Golf Tournament at Barton Creek Country Club
AUSTIN, Texas October 27, 2017 /For immediate release/ — On a beautiful morning at Barton Creek Country Club in Austin, Texas hundreds of golfers gathered for the 18th annual Samaritan Center Charity Golf Tournament.
OSD Central Texas hosted a foursome in this high-profile tournament as a “Thank You Deployment,” an awarded experience for Veterans and Military community members that continue their exemplary service even after the uniform is put away.
The Golf Tournament paired Veterans with other Veterans and VSOs for a great day of golf, fellowship and camaraderie. Many sister organizations, including Military Veteran Peer Network (MVPN), Easter Seals, and Texas Center Point Veterans Services joined in the fun.
Jay McCool, of MVPN Central Texas, said “It is so good to see our Texas Veterans out here enjoying such a nice day and having fun. This is what it is all about, We are all glad to be part of such a great community.”

The Samaritan Center
The Samaritan Center has been saving lives, healing emotional wounds and giving hope to individuals and families for over 40 years. The Center’s mission is to improve the mental, physical, and spiritual health of children and families in Central Texas.
