OSD ‘Supply Drop’ Reaches Airmen When They Need It Most
HAMPTON, VIRGINIA & AUSTIN, TEXAS (March 30, 2018) /For immediate release/ — The 633rd Security Forces Squadron deployed from Joint Base Langley-Eustis to Djibouti. Due to their remote location, getting items by mail is difficult. Forward-thinking Senior Airmen Ben D. reached out to OSD before reaching their Forward Operating Base to ensure the Squadron would have a timely morale boost.
Senior Airmen Ben D. said, “It would boost morale by the time it reaches us. We definitely need this supply drop since we will have no other forms of getting items, besides contacting out families. It typically takes 2 months to reach the place.”
OSD’s “Supply Drop” program has impacted hundreds of thousands of active military personnel in scores of locations around the globe. These Airmen will return home in the early Fall as members of OSD’s Southeast Region, leading and participating in social, professional and service events within the Washington, DC Chapter.
