ABILENE, TEXAS & AUSTIN, TEXAS (October 6, 2018) /For immediate release/ —   The 455th Air Expeditionary Aircraft Maintenance Squadron (EAMXS) is currently deployed from Dyess Air Force Base to Afghanistan. While accustomed to difficult deployment conditions, many of the Airmen were missing the comforts of home. SSgt Dustin D. noticed morale was particularly low with those in his Unit who had not received any care packages from home.

He explained, “Unfortunately, our area is severely lacking in the niceties of home. Which is completely bearable for us since this is what we chose to do. However, some of my fellow airmen seem to be losing morale since they are not receiving packages. It would only be my pleasure as their NCO to give them a ‘Supply Drop’ to uplift their spirits.”

Where there is a need, there is a ‘Supply Drop.’

These troops are now enjoying games, coffee, and other supplies from generous donors including Starbucks, Rip It Energy, Disgruntled Decks, FanDuel, GAEMS, and other key OSD partners.

OSD’s “Supply Drop” program has impacted hundreds of thousands of active military personnel in scores of locations around the globe. These Airmen will return home in the early Fall as members of OSD’s Texas Region, leading and participating in social, professional and service events within the Central Texas Chapter.
