OSD Supply Drop Reaches 241st Engineering Installation Squadron Deployed to the Middle East
CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE & AUSTIN, TEXAS (April 26, 2018) /For immediate release/ — Airmen in the 241st Engineering Installation Squadron (EIS) are currently deployed to the Middle East providing vital communications solutions for US operations in the region. An Air National Gaurd unit, they are accustomed to a continuous deployment cycle, but the time away from their loved ones is difficult.
Civilian Family Readiness Group Coordinator Tosha M. explained, “This unit is on a continuous deployment cycle whose mission set is often called upon to provide support for communication demands overseas. Most Airmen have been with this unit for 10+ years and continue to re-enlist to support our country. Many in the 241 EIS have deployed 3+ times and some up to 6+ times for 6month or longer rotations. They truly have a love for their country and we would love for them to feel appreciated during their deployment.”
An OSD “Supply Drop” was a perfect way to show these Airmen their sacrifice is appreciated.
OSD’s “Supply Drop” program has impacted hundreds of thousands of active military personnel in scores of locations around the globe. These Airmen will return home in the Winter as members of OSD’s Southeast Region, leading and participating in social, professional and service events within Chattanooga.
