OSD ‘Supply Drop’ Provides Morale Boost to 509th Clearance Company
FORT LEONARD WOOD, MISSOURI & AUSTIN, TEXAS (November 2, 2018) /For immediate release/ — The 509th Clearance Company is currently deployed from Fort Leonard Wood to Afghanistan. Due to the nature of their work they are spread out and without access to an MWR.
1SG David S. explained, “We are spread out in three different remote outstations. There are no MWRs to truly support us.”
Long hours, monotony, missing loved ones – all of this takes a toll during a deployment. These soldiers were in need of a morale boost and OSD was happy to provide it!
1SG David S. responded, “We received our supply drop. Thank you so much and again thank you for all that you do!”
OSD’s “Supply Drop” program has impacted hundreds of thousands of active military personnel in scores of locations around the globe. These Soldiers will return home in the Fall as members of OSD’s Midwest Region, leading and participating in social, professional and service events within Missouri.
