OSD ‘Supply Drop’ Provides Morale Boost for 1st Security Force Assistance Brigade
COLUMBUS, GEORGIA & AUSTIN, TEXAS (November 9, 2018) /For immediate release/ — The 1st Security Force Assistance Brigade is currently deployed from Fort Benning to Afghanistan. The extended time away from loved ones and the comforts of home was taking a toll. Morale was low and these Soldiers needed a little reminder that their sacrifice is appreciated.
SPC Jessica C. explains “Often times being away from home and loved ones you tend to get homesick or feel down. But when you receive packages from those you don’t know showing their gratitude and support, it tends to boost your morale and remind you that what you are doing is worth the sacrifice you’re making. And helps you understand that sacrifice isn’t just for your family but for a nation.”
At OSD we want to make sure that every Soldier knows we are grateful for their sacrifice. We were happy to provide a ‘Supply Drop’ to these deserving men and women.
OSD’s “Supply Drop” program has impacted hundreds of thousands of active military personnel in scores of locations around the globe. These Soldiers will return home in the Winter as members of OSD’s Southeast Region, leading and participating in social, professional and service events within Columbus.
