OSD Supply Drop lifts Morale for USMC Georgian Liaison Team Deployed in Afghanistan

CAMP PENDLETON, CALIFORNIA & FAYETTEVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA (JANUARY 16, 2018) /For immediate release/Marines deployed to Afghanistan from Camp Pendleton are personally assisting and advising the Georgian Army. These Marines run a rapid cadence of continuous training to ensure all are deployment ready.

SGT Patrick R. said, “Receiving a supply drop would be incredible. We’ve been deployed for over a year and it would really boost morale for our Marines and the Georgian Soldiers.”


After investing time training, advising and participating with the local Georgian community, our USMC brothers needed a “Supply Drop” to unwind and reboot their minds to continue the daily challenges that presented their way.

Glenn Banton, OSD CEO and Executive Director stated, “This is a great opportunity to positively impact both our Marines and our Georgian Allies. With such a long deployment, we know the incoming support will provide respite to these troops.”
