OSD ‘Supply Drop’ Helps Sailors Deployed to Expeditionary Medical Facility in Africa Cope With Deployment Stress
JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA & AUSTIN, TEXAS (April 7, 2018) /For immediate release/ — The Deployed from the 4th Assault Amphibian Battalion in Florida, the EMF DJ is currently manning an Expeditionary Medical Facility in Africa. There work is essential as they treat, stabilize, and care for other service members deployed downrange. These sailors work in a high-stress environment and get very little downtime.
HM2 Jose S. explained, “Our unit is always busy treating service members. We pretty much live at our job site, we would appreciate something to help clear our minds and provide some release.”
A ‘Supply Drop’ can do just that.
OSD’s “Supply Drop” program has impacted hundreds of thousands of active military personnel in scores of locations around the globe. These Sailors will return home in the Winter as members of OSD’s Southeast Region, leading and participating in social, professional and service events within Jacksonville.
