OSD ‘Supply Drop’ Helps Replace 101st Aviation Soldiers Broken Gaming Equipment
CLARKSVILLE, KENTUCKY & AUSTIN, TEXAS (August 31, 2018) /For immediate release/ — The Medevac Company of 6th Battalion,101st Aviation Regiment deployed to Afghanistan from Fort Campbell. An HQ Platoon, they run daily missions providing medevac coverage across the region. These soldiers work hard, and playing games provide a much-needed release during downtime. They reached out to OSD for help when some of their gaming equipment broke.
SSG Blake A. said, “We run missions daily taking care of every military service to include Afghan Soldiers and civilian contractors. My soldiers work hard around the clock, and they deserve a Supply Drop from you guys to reward their efforts and add to the new MWR room we built. We had an old Xbox, but it broke 2 weeks ago.”
SSG Blake responded, “We can’t thank you guys enough for the hospitality!”
OSD’s “Supply Drop” program has impacted hundreds of thousands of active military personnel in scores of locations around the globe. These Soldiers will return home early this winter as members of OSD’s Southeast Region, leading and participating in social, professional and service events within Kentucky.
