OSD ‘Supply Drop’ Helps 310th Military Police Battalion Relieve Deployment Stress

FARMINGDALE, NEW YORD & AUSTIN, TEXAS (October 26, 2018) /For immediate release/ — The 310th Military Police Battalion deployed from the Armed Forces Reserve Center in Farmingdale, New York to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. They are responsible for maintaining the tactical weapons system used on a 24/7 rotation. While the work is grueling, they maintain a positive attitude and are dedicated to the mission. SPC Jorge J. wanted to do something to reward their hard work and help relieve the stress created by their demanding job.

He said, “These Soldiers are always exceeding my expectations by remaining highly motivated and dedicated to the mission. Although the MWR provides some entertainment, it is never enough for everyone to enjoy.”

OSD was happy to send these deserving Soldiers a ‘Supply Drop.’

These troops are now enjoying games, coffee, and other supplies from generous donors including Starbucks, Rip It Energy, Disgruntled Decks, FanDuel, GAEMS, and other key OSD partners.

SPC Jorge J. responded, “On behalf of the 310th MP BN Maintenance section, I want to thank everyone at OSD for all the support they provide to us and all the soldiers serving around the world. We are grateful for the support OSD and their sponsors have provided us. All of us enjoy the coffee and tea!”

OSD’s “Supply Drop” program has impacted hundreds of thousands of active military personnel in scores of locations around the globe. These Soldiers will return home in the Fall as members of OSD’s Northeast Region, leading and participating in social, professional and service events within New York.
