CAMP PENDLETON, CALIFORNIA & SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA (December 29, 2017) /For immediate release/ — Marines from Camp Pendleton are in for a treat thanks to an incoming “Supply Drop” from OSD. The Marines, currently leading efforts in Afghanistan, are due to return home in the early Spring.

The “Supply Drop” will include support from Starbucks, Bezier Games, Steve Jackson Games, GAEMS, KontrolFreek and other key partners.

United States Marine Corp Sgt Daniel L,. part of Georgian Liaison Team Rotation 6 (GLT ROTO 6), stated, “Our mission here is to assist and advise the Georgina Army with their mission to intercept enemy activity and maintain perimeter security here in Bagram, Afghanistan.

“I am representing Motor Transport Platoon and Quick Reaction Force (QRF). My primary billet here is vehicle recovery operator. We get called to go out with a QRF when a vehicle has been blown up or stuck. It is my job to recover that vehicle and bring it back to base while QRF provides security for me and my recovery team. My Marines are interested and requesting our own gaming console as we have none of our own entertainment at our living quarters.”

OSD Executive Director and CEO, Glenn Banton, stated, “It is our pleasure to serve these Marines and provide a much deserved morale boost as they finish out this deployment. We’ve stayed in contact with these men and women while in Afghanistan and will continue supporting them once they return home to Camp Pendleton.”

OSD’s “Supply Drop” program has impacted hundreds of thousands of active military personnel in scores of locations around the globe.
