OSD “Supply Drop” breaking the monotony for 10th Mountain Soldiers deployed to Afghanistan

FORT DRUM, NEW YORK & FAYETTEVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA (January 15, 2018) /For immediate release/ —  10th Mountain Division Infantry soldiers deployed from Fort Drum, New York to Afghanistan are in for a surprise with games and entertainment en route. The soldiers, are in a very small camp without even a basic MWR. There is no motor pool and these men and women do most of their work out in the sun.

SPC Andrew T. said, “We support the fight and keep it going. We work day and night if needed to get these trucks up and I know on the time we get off this would make us happy and boost our morale being In such a crappy place.”

 

Noticing the monotony that these 10th Mountain personnel are enduring within their deployment, OSD sent these soldiers a Supply Drop to break the monotony and boost morale.   

OSD Director of Global Community Operations, Scott Morrison, stated, “These soldiers from Fort Drum will have a significant change in morale with thanks to our fantastic community. It’s an honor to provides such a valuable service to these deserving men and women.”
