OSD South Texas Leads Vet Kids Christmas Party with Victoria Boys and Girls Club

VICTORIA, TEXAS December 11, 2017 /For immediate release/ — In the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, Texans near the shore are still recovering and many families have the challenge of providing Christmas presents to their kids.

In an event that grew the hearts of everyone involved, OSD South Texas partnered with the Victoria Boys and Girls club for a Vet Kids Christmas party to remember. Over 60 Vet kids got together and played games, ate, received gifts, and had a blast.

OSD South Texas Team Leader, Mike Allen, said, “Tonight we had our Vet Kids Christmas party. We ended up blessing over 60 kids and their veteran parents. My favorite part was honoring two spouses with husbands currently deployed. These moms are holding down the fort and being a double parent. Thank you to all of the sponsors involved for making this event such a huge success.”

OSD South Texas will continue to build upon this success into 2018 with Vet kids. Reconnecting veterans and their children is a mission worth investing in.
