OSD Sending “Supply Drop” to Afghanistan for Army 10th Special Forces Group Soldiers with Thanks to Starbucks & FanDuel
FORT CARSON, COLORADO & AUSTIN, TEXAS February 21, 2018 /For immediate release/ — Fort Carson, Colorado based 10th Special Forces Group Soldiers have their spirits lifted with an incoming “Supply Drop” from OSD (Operation Supply Drop).
Without a legitimate MWR (recreation center), these troops are in dire need of supplies to be able to unwind in between a steady pace of ongoing combat operations.
SSG Brandon B. said,” I’m with a unit specializing in underwater operations (Dive Team) and I’m the senior weapons SGT for the team. We are out of Fort Carson, Colorado, but are currently deployed to Afghanistan.
“This is the team’s second deployment to Afghanistan in the last two years. With your help, I would like to create a place where the guys can relax and hang out after or in between running combat operations. We have a pretty consistent operation tempo, and I think the boys could use a place to escape the day to day grind.”
“I heard about OSD from a conventional Unit co-located with our team. They recommended OSD as being one of the best Organizations to request assistance.”
OSD Global Director of Community Operations, Scott Morrison said, “We at OSD know we have a duty to serve the needs of our deployed soldiers and we’re honored to assist the 10th Special Forces Group. With thanks to Starbucks, FanDuel and other numerous partners, these troops will have the respite needed to decompress between operations.”
OSD’s “Supply Drop” program has impacted hundreds of thousands of active military personnel in scores of locations around the globe.
