GAINESVILLE, FLORIDA (January 27, 2018) /For immediate release/ — OSD Northern Florida and Charity Nerds partnership brings much needed fun and distraction for military family also battling leukemia.
Aaron Gaff, currently serving in the Army, said, “My wife Sara and our sons Ashton and Grayson live and are stationed in Florida. My son Ashton(5) was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia 2 years ago and is currently in remission, but still recovering and receiving chemo and other drugs.”
“With my son’s condition and having a new baby it’s hard to always get out and do things normal kids or families can do so having an Xbox console is a good way to watch and stream movies or play games. It has allowed me to connect with friends and family who play also and takes my mind away from everyday stresses someone with a sick child or someone serving in the military may face.”
“My wife loves the movie apps and games. My son Ashton plays call of duty and loves to be able to turn on cartoons easily. This not only has shown the selflessness of such a great company, but it relates to the age and generation of people like us.”
“The Gaff family would like to sincerely thank everyone from OSD and Charity Nerds. We look forward to seeing how other families are also affected also.”
Laeth Damon, OSD Operations Manager, stated, “We’re excited to see the impact this support provided for the Gaff Family and hope it continues to bring their family together. As this program continues to grow, we expect to see the same results for these deserving military families.”
