OSD “Kids for Care Project” Support in Conjunction with USAF Deployment near Syria a Hit with Local Children
FAYETTEVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA & WASHINGTON, D.C. (January 11, 2018) /For immediate release/ — OSD recently provided support to the “Kids for Care Project” lead by deployed United States Air Force Major, impacting hundreds of refugee and local children near Syria.
Many of the items from OSD and other partners have arrived in country for distribution to scores of jubilant kids. Items included soccer balls, personal hygiene items and school supplies.
Major Aaron J. stated, “I wanted to extend my thanks again for the support. It has been a great project, one that wouldn’t happen without you. We have provided thousands of dollars in support to the local refugee camp and school, and we are in the process of working with the local school on necessary repairs.”
“This has been an outstanding deployment–both operationally and personally. It wouldn’t have been the same without your support. Thank you very much for taking the time to help!”
OSD Operations Manager, Laeth Damon, said, “This unique opportunity is what makes the OSD community tick. We were so excited by the reaction from the kids that we’ve already turned around additional packages to Aaron and his team. We’re honored to be a part of the outreach by our troops in harm’s way.”
