OSD Bay Area Supports Local Homeless Community, Serving Thanksgiving Meals at Saint Anthony’s Church in Menlo Park

MENLO PARK, CALIFORNIA  (November 24, 2017) /For immediate release/ — OSD’s Bay Area Chapter spent Thanksgiving with members of Saint Anthony’s Church in Menlo Park, serving a hearty and healthy meal to the local homeless population.


St. Anthony’s Padua Dining Room nourishes, clothes, heals and uplifts the spirits of those in need in a safe and welcoming space. They strive to provide guests with the basic needs and services essential to human dignity and stability.

OSD Bay Area Veteran and Team Leader, Alejando Meza, said, “It’s a great way to get in touch with your community and important to serve to those who don’t have a place to go for Thanksgiving.”


A representative of Saint Anthony’s Church stated, “We are more than happy to serve and to see food to be given around and see happiness spread to people.”


OSD’s chapter-based “Teams” program brings the military community together through social, service and professional events and outings in dozens of cities around the globe. To date, over 50,000 community members have bonded through hundreds of experiences.
