[Austin, TX] Operation Supply Drop at SXSW MedTech, Interactive & Gaming
Join Operation Supply Drop volunteers, veterans, partners and civilian supporters at SXSW from February 11 – 20, 2016 in Austin, Texas.
On Sunday March 13th at 5pm, during Interactive/MedTech, be sure to stop by our panel “(Video) Gaming the Healthcare System” featuring Glenn Banton (CEO) and Erik S. Johnson, MS, OTR/L (Chief Medical Officer) with guests Eddie González-Novoa (Executive Director, The Survivor Games) and Leslie Harris (Cancer Research UK – Citizen Science).
Gamification has been introduced to a variety of health-related applications from wearables to patient portals to engage patients to think about health. But games, video games in particular, have shown a much more significant contribution to healthcare by providing a connective community and therapy to both physical and cognitive impairments, as detailed by our expert panel. Come play!
Find Operation Supply Drop also at the SXSW Gaming Festival from March 17-19 at booth #1034, 1036. This event is free and open to the public at the Austin Convention Center. Drop by, meet some of the Central Texas members of The Teams and enjoy a day of fun.
