Operation Supply Drop Recognized as GreatNonprofits 2017 Top-Rated Nonprofit

Operation Supply Drop Recognized again by GreatNonprofits at Top-Rated NonProfit for 2017

When it comes to supporting our service-members, veterans and their families, Operation Supply Drop has no greater passion. When the excellence resulting from our shared passion to serve is recognized, and in particular, by stories from our community, there few greater honors. For the second year in a row, we’re excited to announce that Operation Supply Drop has been recognized as a 2017 Top-Rated Nonprofit, by GreatNonprofits.

Community Member RadxDad shared, “Being a disabled veteran, I was drawn to OSD by the opportunity to support the military community in a fun and unique way. As I’ve volunteered with the organization, I’ve watched OSD spread it’s footprint and impact tremendously. Always willing to help in any fashion possible, I would recommend the organization to any service member or veteran in need of support. Even if OSD can’t help you directly, they will try their hardest to find someone who can.”

A long-time volunteer reflects, “Not only does OSD provide amazing military and veteran support through their Supply Drop program, their Teams program also helps veterans find a new purpose after they’ve served. By giving Team members an opportunity to directly support military and veteran organizations in their area, often through hands on volunteering, OSD allows those involved to feel truly connected to their cause and often see the immediate result of their efforts. Whether you’re the one receiving a Supply Drop, or a volunteer helping handing it off, you’re rewarded with a sense of joy that can be truly life changing. It’s one thing to donate to an organization, then see photos of the result a month later. It’s a completely different experience to see a soldier cry because the computer OSD just gave him is going to allow him to watch the birth of his child.”

And yet another community member wrote, “Operation Supply Drop is a great organization, they have stepped up where other Veteran Non Profits have dropped when it comes to helping the veteran community. Not only do they do it through multiple different programs but they also do it with an open heart and mind. I love working with these guys and their teams and I hope I can only help them out more in the long run.”
