Marines from GLT ROTO 7 Get Morale Boost from OSD Supply Drop
JACKSONVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA & AUSTIN, TEXAS (June 3, 2018) /For immediate release/ — Deployed from Camp Lejeune to Afghanistan, Georgian Liaison Team Rotation 7 (GLT ROTO 7) is tasked with advising and assisting the Georgians. Their days are long and they have little flexibility since they are always on call.
Corporal Arturo V. explained, “After a long 15+ hr work day it would be good for us to unwind a little but we can’t go anywhere because we live and work at the Entry Control Poing (ECP) and are always on call.”
Since these Marines are unable to leave their ECP, they are can’t take advantage of some of the gaming and entertainment equipment available on base. An OSD Supply Drop was the perfect solution.
OSD’s “Supply Drop” program has impacted hundreds of thousands of active military personnel in scores of locations around the globe. These Marines will return home in the Fall as members of OSD’s Southeast Region, leading and participating in social, professional and service events within Jacksonville.
