Marines from GDP RSM ROTO 8 Get Much Needed Morale Boost from OSD Supply Drop
Marines of the GDP RSM ROTO 8 are deployed from Camp Lejeune in North Carolina to Afghanistan. They put in long hours ensuring the security of the entire base and running patrols outside the wire. Downtime is doesn’t happen often and many in the Unit were feeling the strain of the high ops tempo.
Gunnery Sergeant Mathew F. explained, “We are a small group with a lot on our plate. Almost all of our guys are tasked with doing multiple jobs with minimal rest time. We really do not have a tough schedule so our guys get run down and morale is low. Receiving any support will surely help ease the stress of the extremely high Op Tempo and boost morale.”
These Marines certainly deserved an OSD Supply Drop and we were happy to deliver.
OSD’s “Supply Drop” program has impacted hundreds of thousands of active military personnel in scores of locations around the globe. These Marines will return home in the Summer as members of OSD’s Southeast Region, leading and participating in social, professional and service events within Camp LeJeune.
