Marines Deployed from Camp Lejeune Get OSD Supply Drop to Fill Downtime
JACKSONVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA & AUSTIN, TEXAS (June 15, 2018) /For immediate release/ — Deployed from Camp Lejeune to Afghanistan, GLT ROTO 7 is serving at the largest vehicle control point in the country. They are on post all day and rotate shifts. Their downtime has been filled with a lot of Uno and they were hoping for something more to help kill time and fight off boredom.
Cpl Austin V. explained, “We are a tight group of guys but just sitting with each other all day seven days a week playing Uno, we have reached the point of extreme boredom. We would just like to add better options to fill the little bit of downtime we may get in a day.”
OSD Supply Drops exist to bring fun where there is none. We were happy to help these Marines combat their boredom and send one their way.
OSD’s “Supply Drop” program has impacted hundreds of thousands of active military personnel in scores of locations around the globe. These Marines will return home in the fall as members of OSD’s Southwest Region, leading and participating in social, professional and service events within Jacksonville.
