Hundreds of US Army 10th Mountain Soldiers Deployed to Iraq Receiving Support Via OSD ‘Supply Drop’

FORT POLK, LOUISIANA & FAYETTEVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA (February 28, 2018) /For immediate release/ — Hundreds of 10th Mountain Division soldiers deployed from Fort Polk, Louisiana to Iraq enjoying Starbucks Coffee, Video Games, Board Games and Headsets from Razer thanks to OSD “Supply Drop.”

US Army 1LT William D. said, “I am the Battalion S4 for my unit. We are currently in a very austere environment, but would love to get anything that my Soldiers could relax with in their free time. We truly do appreciate any support, and it is an honor to serve our country overseas.”

 

The “Supply Drop” includes generous support from Disgruntled Decks, Razer, Starbucks, Bezier Games, Steve Jackson Games, GAEMS and other key OSD partners.

The unit is in the middle of a deployed that will have them back to the United States in the mid-Summer. The support from OSD provides a generationally relevant injection of home, proven to increase morale and unit cohesion.

 

OSD Director of Global Community Operations, Scott Morrison, added, “The impact we’re able to make on these young men and women is immeasurable with OSD’s ‘Supply Drop’ program. Knowing that hundreds of 10th Mountain troops will be able to have some fun during their much deserved down time is something we want to ensure we’re sharing with our support community. We hope the community will reflect the same huge smiles we know will be seen on these warriors.”
