Fort Hood Soldiers Deployed to Kuwait Get a Needed Morale Boost Via an OSD Supply Drop

Soldiers of the 1-44 Air Defense Artillery are deployed from Fort Hood to Kuwait. They work a rough schedule, with long hours and very little time off.

Spc Jeffrey S. explained, “We have been and will be working 24 on, 24 off shifts until we get back home. But the thing is we don’t really get 24 off because we have to wake up 5 hours before our hit time and always get off 3 to 4 hours later then we are supposed to.”

Needless to say, this relentless schedule takes a toll. These soldiers reached out to OSD hoping to secure a Supply Drop and a small morale boost for the unit. They knew the games and other entertainment items would be well used during their limited time off.

These troops are now enjoying games, coffee, and other supplies from generous donors including Starbucks, Rip It Energy, Disgruntled Decks, FanDuel, GAEMS, and other key OSD partners.

OSD’s “Supply Drop” program has impacted hundreds of thousands of active military personnel in scores of locations around the globe. These Soldiers will return home in the Summer as members of OSD’s Texas Region, leading and participating in social, professional and service events within Fort Hood.
