Fort Erwin Soldiers Deployed to Iraq Receive Double Dose of OSD Support with Assistance from Starbucks
FORT ERWIN, CALIFORNIA & FAYETTEVILLE, NC (February 27, 2018) /For immediate release/ — 229th Aviation Battalion Soldiers, currently deployed from Fort Erwin, California to Iraq receive support from OSD via “Supply Drop.”
The unit, expected to be in country through the summer, received additional support from Starbucks, thanks to a strategic partnership with OSD.
US Army Spc. Robert T said, “I appreciate so much what programs like you do to support us while we are overseas. Having resources that we use everyday allows us to spend what little time we have to talk and write to our families and we can’t thank you enough.”
Laeth Damon, Army Veteran and OSD Warehouse Manager, stated, “Providing a lasting impact for these 229th Aviation Battalion soldiers during their deployment is an honor. We’re excited to provide relief during their deployment as well as to continue our relationship through OSD Southwest when they come home”
