Fort Carson Soldiers Deployed to Afghanistan Get Morale Boost from OSD Supply Drop

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLORADO & AUSTIN, TEXAS (September 7, 2018) /For immediate release/ —  Soldiers from Fort Carson, Colorado are currently deployed to Afghanistan. Their job requires a lot of movement between bases in the region. The constant travel results mean these soldiers have very little downtime, most of their day is spent thinking about and supporting the mission.

Sgt McGregor J. recognized the toll this was taking on his fellow soldiers and reached out to OSD for some help. He explained, “We’ve been flying from base to base with nothing to get our minds off what’s happening. I believe my soldiers need a little bit of fun time before getting back to business.”

An OSD Supply Drop supplied the fun and relaxation they were looking for.

These troops are now enjoying games, coffee, and other supplies from generous donors including Starbucks, Rip It Energy, Disgruntled Decks, FanDuel, GAEMS, and other key OSD partners.

OSD’s “Supply Drop” program has impacted hundreds of thousands of active military personnel in scores of locations around the globe. These Soldiers will return home in the Winter as members of OSD’s Southwest Region, leading and participating in social, professional and service events within Colorado Springs.
