Deployed Guard Unit Receives Much Needed Respite in Afghanistan from Operation Supply Drop

DV OPS Afghanistan Reports Supply Drop Brings Unit Together and Builds Bonds

Upon reading the request from this makeshift unit of Arkansas and Ohio National Guard, it was an easy green light on getting them inline for a quick turn supply drop. Supporting troop movements all over Afghanistan with a fixed wing C-26, this unit’s high work tempo and limited personnel make for the perfect supply drop recipient. Gaming and entertainment will lend some relaxation during down time.

With thanks to the support of numerous partners including GAEMS, Starbucks, Disgruntled Decks and XBOX, the effect of this much deserved morale boost went above and beyond.

SGT Donald S. said, “I wanted to sincerely say thank you for the amazing package that you sent over to my unit in Afghanistan. The xbox, games, and other items have already been put to good use and brought enjoyment to many days spent over here. Being away for the holidays is very hard and the package you sent brought a gracious smile to the face of everyone in our unit. The games are not only a great distraction, but they bring our unit together and build bonds. Your organization has an amazing cause and my unit and I are looking forward to supporting you in the future and help out other units. Again my unit and I wanted to say thank you for all that you have done.
