Downtime for Soldiers Deployed to Afghanistan Enhanced by OSD ‘Supply Drop’

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLORADO & AUSTIN, TEXAS (March 14, 2018) /For immediate release/ — The 10th Special Forces group deployed to Afghanistan from Colorado Springs, Colorado. 2-10 SFT is supporting all bases in Afghanistan with movement, vehicle operation, and generator maintenance. The days are long and the hours can take a toll.

SGT McGregor J noted, “Working over 10 hours a day with no days off some weeks, I think it’s rewarding to relax, read financial books, and play PS4/XBOX to get our minds off everything.”

These troops are now enjoying games, coffee and other supplies from generous donors including Starbucks, Microsoft, Disgruntled Decks, FanDuel, GAEMS and other key OSD partners.

OSD’s “Supply Drop” program has impacted hundreds of thousands of active military personnel in scores of locations around the globe. These Soldiers will return home in the Fall as members of OSD’s Southwest Region, leading and participating in social, professional and service events within Colorado.
