Deployed Texas Army National Guard Unit Receives OSD “Supply Drop” with Support from Starbucks & GAEMS

BROWNSVILLE, TEXAS & AUSTIN, TEXAS (January 13, 2018) /For immediate release/ — Texas Army National Guard troops deployed to the Horn of Africa receives “Supply Drop” providing immediate increase in troop morale.

CPL Jose M. stated, “Thanks you so much for all the items in the care package. The Starbucks iced coffee went like fire! We started a rivalry with Madden we have one guy 21-1!”

The Texas Guard Unit, deployed from Brownsville, Texas received support from Starbucks, Bezier Games, Steve Jackson Games, GAEMS, KontrolFreek and other key partners. The unit is due to return home in the late summer.


OSD Warehouse Manager, Laeth Damon, said, “I’m glad to see this “Supply Drop” arriving on time and on target. These troops also told us the Starbucks iced coffee in particular was a hit as these troops cannot have coffee pots or water heaters in their living areas.”
