Deployed Airmen of the 455th Expeditionary Maintenance Group Enjoying OSD Supply Drop
TUCSON, ARIZONA & AUSTIN, TEXAS (October 10, 2018) /For immediate release/ — Airmen of the 455th Expeditionary Maintenance Group (EMXG) are deployed to Afghanistan from the 162nd Wing of the Arizona Air National Guard. An F16 Unit, they are there to assist in fighting ISIS and Taliban insurgents.
Their Mission keeps there days full, leaving little downtime. Senior Airmen Carlos A. reached out to OSD hoping to secure a Supply Drop for his fellow Airmen and provide a way to rest and recharge when they aren’t working.
He said, “I think an OSD Supply Drop will keep morale up and give us more to do in the downtime we do have available.”
OSD was happy to get some coffee and entertainment items in the hands of these Airmen.
OSD’s “Supply Drop” program has impacted hundreds of thousands of active military personnel in scores of locations around the globe. These Airmen will return home in the Winter as members of OSD’s Southwest Region, leading and participating in social, professional and service events within Tucson.
