Artillery Unit from El Paso, Texas Gets a Boost in Bahrain from OSD ‘Supply Drop’

EL PASO, TEXAS & AUSTIN, TEXAS (April 9, 2018) /For immediate release/ — US Army 4-52nd ADA troops from Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas deployed to Bahrain in support of CENTCOM operations.

SPC Cole C. said, “We’ve been in Bahrain for about a month now, still have about 10 more to go.”

“This is the first deployment for most of the soldiers here and morale could be better. Leaving just before Christmas put a strain on a lot of the younger guys here and they could use a boost.”

These troops are now enjoying games, coffee and other supplies from generous donors including Starbucks, Microsoft, Disgruntled Decks, FanDuel, GAEMS and other key OSD partners.

OSD’s “Supply Drop” program has impacted hundreds of thousands of active military personnel in scores of locations around the globe. These Soldiers will return home in late 2018 as members of OSD’s Texas Region, leading and participating in social, professional and service events in West Texas and New Mexico.
