Airmen and Soldiers of the Combined Joint Special Operations Air Component in Afghanistan Get OSD Supply Drop

FORT WALTON BEACH, FLORIDA & AUSTIN, TEXAS (July 17, 2018) /For immediate release/ —   Airmen and Soldiers of the Combined Joint Special Operations Air Component (CJSOAC) from Hurlburt Field are deployed to Afghanistan. Their work is mission essential in Afghanistan.

MSGT Christopher H. explained, “We are a multi-aircraft joint service of the USAF and Army aviation. Our unit conducts special and conventional aviation operations to include: fire support, assault, mobility, ISR, and special tactics within our support mission tasking and priorities.”

These men and women are on a constant work cycle and their leadership was looking for a way to boost morale and make sure they feel cared for.

MSGT Christopher H. continued, “Our members are on a constant work cycle. From our aircrew that step to their planes and helo’s, to our planners and support staff that work 12 hrs to ensure that every detail is run through to ensure mission to success. Being that this is my 10th deployment, I have seen how the little things from home can be a pleasant break from the mission tempo. Our leadership takes great steps to makes sure that our members are cared for to the best that we can. A Supply Drop would bring a little bit of home to our members and help put a smile on their face.”

More than happy to get a Supply Drop to these deserving men and women.

These troops are now enjoying games, coffee, and other supplies from generous donors including Starbucks, Rip It Energy, Disgruntled Decks, FanDuel, GAEMS, and other key OSD partners.

OSD’s “Supply Drop” program has impacted hundreds of thousands of active military personnel in scores of locations around the globe. These Airmen and Soldiers will return home in the Fall as members of OSD’s Southeast Region, leading and participating in social, professional and service events within Florida.
