Airmen in Qatar Get a Morale Boost from OSD ‘Supply Drop’

SUMTER, SOUTH CAROLINA & AUSTIN, TEXAS (April 20, 2018) /For immediate release/ — The 379th Expeditionary Comm Squadron is deployed to Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar. Being away from friends, family, and the familiarity of home is difficult. Coupled with the high stress of a demanding job, morale in the squadron had taken a hit.

SrA Adam D. said, “Any distraction from the deployment would help boost morale for the Airmen.” OSD was able to step in with a Supply Drop to help these Airmen out.

These troops are now enjoying games, coffee and other supplies from generous donors including Starbucks, Microsoft, Disgruntled Decks, FanDuel, GAEMS and other key OSD partners.

OSD’s “Supply Drop” program has impacted hundreds of thousands of active military personnel in scores of locations around the globe. These Airmen will return home in the summer as members of OSD’s Southeast Region, leading and participating in social, professional and service events within South Carolina.
