Air Force Reaper Squadron in Afghanistan Getting Morale Upgrade from OSD “Supply Drop”

CREECH AFB, NEVADA & LAS VEGAS, NEVADA (December 30, 2017) /For immediate release/ — OSD shipping “Supply Drop” to United States Air Force troops currently deployed to Afghanistan from Creech Air Force Base in Nevada. The unit is due to return home in late winter.

United States Air Force SSgt Bailey B. stated, “We are a weapons troop deployed to Afghanistan with the 62 EATKS, MQ-9  reaper squadron.”

“Sadly, the consoles we have are less than good condition. I watched as half the shop struggled to get the PS4 in working condition so that it would just start. Getting the thing to run a disc is another task in itself and physically the systems is not even recognizable.”

“Someone mentioned your program so I figured I’d give you guys a shout and see if you could help us with a few things.”

Scott Morrison, OSD Director of Global Community Operations, stated, “When we saw the pictures this unit submitted, we actually laughed. We know first hand from deployments what someone will do to make electronics run. Thankfully, we’ve got help on the way and it’ll be there in no time to be enjoyed by these Airmen.”

The “Supply Drop” will include support from FanDuel, Starbucks, Bezier Games, Steve Jackson Games, GAEMS and other key partners.

OSD’s “Supply Drop” program has impacted hundreds of thousands of active military personnel in scores of locations around the globe.
