95th Civil Affairs Brigade Gets Morale Boost from OSD Supply Drop Just in Time for the Holidays
FAYETTEVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA & AUSTIN, TEXAS (December 3, 2018) /For immediate release/ — The 95th Civil Affairs Brigade is deployed from Fort Bragg to Afghanistan. They are currently assigned to a Joint Military Mission, working with NATO Special Operations.
Deployed to an austere environment, these soldiers don’t have access to any amenities. When they aren’t working, it is hard not to think of home and the people and things they miss. This can be particularly hard when you are deployed over the holidays. Morale was a bit low and 1SG John A. was looking for a way to boost his fellow soldier’s spirits.
He explained, “We don’t have access to a USO or anything like that. We don’t have personal computers or game systems. We spend of our time waiting on missions.”
OSD’s “Supply Drop” program has impacted hundreds of thousands of active military personnel in scores of locations around the globe. These Sailors will return home in 2019 as members of OSD’s Southeast Region, leading and participating in social, professional and service events within Fayetteville.
