7th Special Forces Group from Eglin Air Force Base Gets Morale Boost Via OSD Supply Drop
The 7th Special Forces Group is deployed from Eglin Air Force Base to Afghanistan. Located in a remote part of the country, they did not have access to an MWR or other morale building resources found on many of the larger bases.
That left these soldiers with little to do. Boredom and the monotony of deployment can quickly cause morale to drop. They reached out to OSD hoping to secure a Supply Drop and a small morale boost.
SSG Ramon M. explained, “We are stationed at a small base which is far away from any major base. We do not have anything for an MWR. In fact, the only thing my team and I use for entertainment are our personal computers.”
OSD’s “Supply Drop” program has impacted hundreds of thousands of active military personnel in scores of locations around the globe. These Soldiers will return home in the Spring as members of OSD’s Southeast Region, leading and participating in social, professional and service events within Florida.
